Challenge

To speed up initial inspection, Works Inc. . Started looking for an alternative to its traditional coordinate measuring machine (CMM) process. “Our castings tend to have complex shapes and lots of curves and contours,”explains Gerald Academia, quality manager at Benda Tool. “We wanted faster feedback and considered adding scanner heads to our CMM, but then decided to look at automated scanners.”
